Logo & Brand Design
toosso Pakistani Kitchen is a fast-paced restaurant in the DMV area that offers authentic Pakistani ambience and cuisine in a casual and modern format. toosso is launching a new location and I was asked to redesign their logo and create some illustrations for the brand new space.
The main theme for this project was to create mostly black & white branding pieces that portray the food culture in Pakistan and the atmosphere surrounding Pakistani streetside vendors, train-stop food stalls, and everyday marketplaces.
Illustration & Storytelling
I was tasked with creating some fun illustration-based newsletter headers for our Partner Newsletters at Experience Kissimmee. These feature Lenny and Bruce, EK’s beloved mascots, living and loving through 2020 just like the rest of us.
Concept & Illustration
‘Home’ is a series of illustrations I created after a short but beautiful visit back to Pakistan for the first time in 5 years. The series is based on the concept that ‘home’ is not necessarily a physical location but more importantly a feeling - of belonging, and of being alive in every moment.
While the series focuses visually on my very nostalgic Pakistani-Islamabadi feeling of home, that isn’t where the idea ends for me or for anyone. I think home can be found in the most ordinary places and moments. It can be food that smells like comfort, and tastes even better than it smells. The way your mother blows prayers over you, or the feeling when you know the words to a song that your father listened to in his youth. That blanket of quiet serenity that envelops you when you walk into the mosque of your childhood. It can be the exact way the road curves to the right, or that first glimpse of hills rising up and into the clouds. It could be your person who just gets you, or the way your child’s lashes curl while she sleeps.
Home lives in people, in colors and patterns and scents and sounds. This project is my personal attempt as an artist at capturing just a tiny sliver of that experience.

B.H.Kazimov is a South Asian fashion brand based in California. The fashion brand is a beautiful blend of East and West, pulling inspiration from traditional adornments and bringing them into a modern context for the woman of today.
Bilal came to me with simple requirements: A logo design that captures the timeless aesthetic of the pieces he creates, and a set of illustrations that represent the intricacy and cultural inspiration of his designs. We were able to work within a specified color palette and create a story that fits the style of the fashion brand.
Illustration & Layout

Passion Project
100 Doors started out as a simple daily challenge to get myself back into drawing practice during a period of creative stagnancy. The idea was to draw something consistently for 100 days and post my work on instagram everyday as accountability. I wanted to get some practice drawing in Procreate on my iPad, and I decided this would be a good way to do it.

Married in New York is a beautiful project started by the amazing photographer Natasha Jahangir. The MINY Facebook page describes the project as ‘Modern day love stories and celebrating the couples who get married at City Hall.’
This has definitely been one of my absolute favorite projects to work on. It took a lot of sketches and trials to get to perfection, but the results were very satisfying.
The Muslim Women's Organization endeavors to be a dynamic presence that benefits all of humanity, regardless of race, religion or ethnicity, through supporting existing community initiatives and providing unique, women-led, opportunities for women and their families to get involved in and make a difference. I am honored to have been a part of this group of amazing women for the past few years.

Bombay Grill is an Indian BBQ restaurant that serves authentic Indian cuisine in the Orlando area. The purpose of this brand redesign was to portray the restaurant as a welcoming and approachable place that people may visit to satisfy their taste for exotic flavors from South Asia, regardless of whether they are familiar with them or not.
Some of the main elements that were focused on during this redesign process were creating a modern and friendly logo and enhancing the aesthetic of the brand.

MWS is a private school affiliated with American Montessori Society offering a richly diverse educational environment where individual students can learn, grow and flourish.
The Montessori teaching method is based on a constructivist model where students learn concepts through working with materials instead of direct teaching instruction. The logo design focused on the idea of the building blocks that make up a whole concept and that is the theme that I tried to carry througout this branding project.
Logo & Branding
A collection of logos I’ve had the opportunity to design. A few of these concepts were scrapped for a different direction, but each of them have been a pleasure to work on in collaboration with each client.
